Quenching of Large Cast Alloy Plate for the Aerospace Industry
As a large capacity, comprehensive heat treating service provider, at Complete Heat Treating, we serve customers nationwide. This large cast alloy plate was heat treated for an aerospace customer located in the Northeast. The plate is 34′ long, 5′ wide, and 1.5″ thick with a total weight of 8,000 lbs. The plate was solution annealed at a temperature of 2025°F. The ability to maintain this temperature to within ±25°F with such a large capacity is very unique. Our variety of equipment combined with proprietary software allows us to tightly control heating and cooling cycles. Three generations and over 70 years of experience allow us to solve a variety of heat treating challenges.
Located in the heart of the Midwest, we are conveniently located to many customers in the heavy equipment, aerospace, and other manufacturing industries. Free pickup and delivery is available for customers within a 100 mile radius of our facility. For customers outside the region, freight can be arranged using third party carriers.
